Love

For the past couple of days Mike and I have really focused on "what it means to be thankful" with the girls and pleasantly we were very happy to hear the many things they were thankful for, family was always first on their list (not just us of course... it mainly included their many aunts, uncles, grandparents and most importantly their cousins!). But tonight as we decorated our Christmas tree we asked Jillian.. "Jilly tell us what Christmas means and to our surprise she answered with " Christmas is about LOVE". It certainly made us feel good although it didn't last long~ our precious little Tatum was asked the same question " She answered with it means PRESENTS!! I guess we still have some work to do.

This Thanksgiving and holiday season I am reminded of how important it is to make time for others versus worrying about all the silly stuff. I am blessed to have another angel looking after me, I will miss you Julia!

Proud Friend

Yesterday I got the chance to congratulate my best friend and her mother on their completion of the Breast Cancer 3 Day walk. What an accomplishment... their inspiring words of wisdom has convinced me to do it next year. I think it is also a true testimate of how important it is take care of ourselves and the importance of female bonding. WAY TO GO GIRLS!!

Everyday is a Gift

Today would have been Carston's fifth birthday, and all I can do is feel extreme heartache for his mother Amy my good friend. He was such a sweet boy, with such a zest for life. The thought of losing either of my girls is to hard for me to even grasp so much so that I can't even think about it... which I guess is the easier way to go. I think about him and my girlfriend everyday as it reminds me of how important it is to cherish the time you have with your loved ones. His loss just doesn't seem fair but I know in some way, some how God will help us to find the gift and answer to his spirit leaving us way to early. I will forever keep the Kownack family in my prayers.

I can't believe I am doing this...

Well my first blog entry, not sure how to start this but thought it would be a wonderful way to track all the fun events I share with my family. Not sure anyone would want to read this, but want to be able to somehow keep up with all memories I have with Mike and my girls.
